We begin with a warm hello and a walk-through of the space. I like to revisit the plan we created ahead of time and get a feel for the energy of the day. If you’re feeling fresh and focused, we might start with headshots. If it feels more natural to ease in, we’ll begin with lifestyle or candid content instead.
We move through your shot list flexibly, adjusting for lighting, pacing, and energy. I’ll help with wardrobe tweaks, styling details, and background changes to keep everything aligned with your brand story.
During the shoot, you don’t really need to know how to pose. I will offer gentle direction on how to move, where to look, and what to do with your hands. I will also give prompts for moments that feel natural. It’s about creating space for you to be yourself, and not about performing.
I’m also watching every detail: flyaways, shirt creases, posture, and light. So, you can relax knowing I’m taking care of the little things so you don’t have to.



Throughout the shoot, I will always check in with you. I will let you know what’s working and help adjust anything that’s not. You won’t be left wondering how it’s going.
Most clients start to loosen up after the first few shots. That’s when we capture the kind of images that feel effortless, because you’re actually enjoying the process.
Once we’ve captured everything we set out to, we wrap. There’s usually a quiet little celebration — a moment to exhale, smile, and say “We did it.”
Sometimes that means kicking off your shoes, taking a deep breath, or sharing a laugh about the moment that caught you off guard in the best way. It’s a soft landing after a creative day that required you to show up fully, and you did.

By the time shoot day arrives, we’ve already done the groundwork. We’ve had a strategy call where I learn about your business, your goals, and how you’ll use your images. From there, I help you choose locations, plan wardrobe and props, and align the session to fit your brand.
You’ll also receive a prep guide with tips to help you feel confident, clear, and calm going in. It’s one of the most helpful parts of working with a brand photographer, especially if you’re juggling a lot in your business.
And because we’ve prepared with intention, the shoot itself flows with more ease. We’re not rushing or guessing, but we are building on a plan. That’s what makes the session feel collaborative, focused, and more relaxed from start to finish.
